Recalibration Code Guided Sessions
Then Go to the Chapter Content Below
Each Session Overview is recorded if you want to listen to it. It will be the same or similar to the book. Any changes will always be an improvement and eventually make their way into the book. The “After the session” part from each chapter is also recorded and will be under the main guided session below.
Chapter 7 – Forge
1. Start here
SESSION OVERVIEW
This is the central installation session of the book. Everything before it has been preparation — meeting Charlie and Dai, building the working relationship, establishing the pause, giving Dai permission to update. This session is where the Instead Of is delivered directly to Dai and filed in the library as a real, specific, retrievable pattern.
In this session, you bring the Instead Of you’ve written and deliver it to Dai — not as an instruction, but as an experience. Dai receives it, files it, and then takes it somewhere more fundamental: the identity section of the library, where the pattern becomes part of who you are, rather than simply something you’re trying to do. Then you run it forward in real time, in the specific situation you’ve identified, so that Dai has a felt experience of the new pattern producing a different outcome.
This session is the forge. Everything after it builds on what is placed here today.
Before you begin, have your Chapter 4 anchor word ready — the word you chose to carry the quality of that first library visit. You will use it at the door.
Estimated total time: 32–38 minutes (8–10 minutes written, 24–26 minutes audio).
2. Then answer the questions…
These questions require written answers before the session. The session will work with what you bring to it. The more specific your preparation, the more precisely Dai can receive it.
Q1: Write your Instead Of in full. One concrete sentence: ‘When [situation], instead of [default response], I [specific alternative].’ If you haven’t written it yet, do it now. This is the pattern the session installs. Vague is not enough. Dai needs something specific to file.
Q2: What does the person who does the Instead Of naturally, without effort, without thinking about it. What are they like? Not what they do differently, but who they are. Three qualities. Write them down. These are the identity markers the session is building towards.
Q3: Where does the evidence already exist that this person is emerging? Not fully formed, but present. Moments where one of those three qualities showed up, even briefly. Find at least two. Write them. Dai needs existing evidence to build from.
Q4: Picture a specific upcoming situation where the old pattern would usually run. Name it. Where is it? Who else is there? What usually happens? Hold it clearly. The session will use this exact situation for the forward projection.
Read your Instead Of one more time before you start. Then put the pen down. The session takes it from here.
3. Now Listen to the Guided Session

4. And the Ending
If the forward projection felt real or if there was a genuine felt sense of the Instead Of running in the actual situation, write it down. The detail of it. What you saw, what you felt, what was different. Dai filed it. The conscious mind recording it adds another layer of evidence.
If the identity section produced something such as a quality, a feeling, a recognition, write those three identity markers down somewhere you’ll see them. Not as aspirations. As descriptions of someone who is already emerging in your library.
The most important thing you can do after this session is use it. When the situation you identified arrives, and it will, notice what happens. The Instead Of may run imperfectly at first. It may run after the fact, as a ‘that’s what I could have done.’ That counts. Dai files the awareness. The next time will be different.
Return to this session consistently for the next several weeks. Each return finds the patterns slightly more established, the identity slightly more filed, the forward projection slightly more automatic. The first listen opens the door. Every subsequent listen walks further through it.
This is the work. It’s not dramatic. It’s not instant. But it’s real, and it’s yours.
